Superintendent
Dr. Juroska is in his 13th year as superintendent for the Alvarado ISD having served as a superintendent for 26 years in several different school districts out of a total of 42 years in education. He has been a teacher of speech, journalism and special education. Before becoming a superintendent, Dr. Juroska was a junior high counselor, assistant principal and principal. He was a high school principal for four and a half years. Dr. Juroska graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts degree; Stephen F. Austin State University with two different Master's degrees - a Master of Arts and a Master of Education; and from Texas A&M-Commerce with a Doctorate of Education. He has been married to Saundra Williams Juroska of Mineola, Texas for 37 years, who recently retired from Alvarado High School as a special Education teacher. They have two adult children, Jorjanna age 33 who is a nurse practitioner, and Adam age 26, who is active National Guard specializing in information technology. Dr. Juroska was born and raised in the Houston area and graduated from John Foster Dulles High School in Sugarland, Texas.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
