Alvarado ISD is a K-12 public school system located at the southern intersection of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The 92-square-mile district consists of six schools serving more than 3,700 scholars and 500 educators. Families are drawn to Alvarado ISD because of our high expectations academically, successful athletics programs, award-winning fine arts and safe learning environment.

The Golden Warrior Band placed 17th at the state marching band competition. It was the Golden Warrior Band's third straight trip to the state competition after it placed second at Area, it's highest finish ever.
Alvarado High School's volleyball team upset second-seeded Ferris on Tuesday to clinch fourth place in district and a playoff berth. The Lady Indians won 3-1 and have now won four in a row as they head into the post-season.
The Golden Warrior Band is heading to state once again!
Needing a top six finish at the Area contest, the Golden Warrior Band climbed from third in prelims to finish second, it's highest finish ever. The state marching band contest is Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the Alamodome in San Antonio and the Golden Warrior Band performs at 1:15 p.m.
Scholars at Alvarado Elementary North were treated to visitors from the community last week as part of the district’s Indian Friend Reading Day program.
