Indians earn all-district accolades

A second-straight nine win season led to 24 all-district honors for the Indians, including two superlative awards.

Senior AJ Bates and sophomore Amir Foston were awarded two of the district’s highest honors. Bates was named the district’s Special Teams MVP after averaging 25.6 yards per kickoff return and 11 yards per punt return while Foston was the co-Defensive Line MVP with 63 tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Defensively, first team all-district accolades went to senior linebackers Toby Means and Drake Bernal, and senior defensive end Grant Cook. Second team defensive honors went to sophomore Dylan Roudebush, juniors Blake Boyd, Elias Reyes and Cannon Arnold, and senior Juan Sanchez.

Senior Preston Weatherby and juniors Jacob Shockley and Ethan Martin were honorable mention selections.

Offensively the Indians had eight first team and six second-team selections.

First team honorees were seniors Alonzo Shaw, Chanse Temple, Colton Svendsen, Colton Garrett, Traelon Fuller and Trevor Stovall, along with juniors Cole Haroff and Blake Henderson.

Seniors Brayden Ramsey, Mickey Bennett, Jay Stinebaugh and Bradley Boulton, along with juniors Jacob Shockley and Braxton Williams were second team selections.

Senior Tyler Ransom and juniors Colton Robles and Jacob Syrus were honorable mention selections for the offense.
