AHS scholars earn high marks at national theatre Festival

It was not the biggest group of Alvarado High School scholars to attend the International Thespian Festival. Still, the 11 who made the trip this summer were the most successful from Theatre Troup 4243.
While at the International Thespian Festival, held at Indiana University, the scholars participated in workshops with Broadway professionals, saw shows from some of the top high schools in the country, and competed against the top-ranking performers from states around the United States.
All of the Alvarado competitors received rankings of excellent or higher in their competition events, with Kel Boatright, Lauren Hunt, Eden King, and Aleese Wilson each receiving rankings of Superior. Prior to this year Alvarado High School's troupe had only one event receive a Superior rank at ITF. This year, four AHS events earned ITF's highest ranking.
