Alvarado ISD unveils Finance Zone website

Alvarado ISD is excited to announce the official launch of a new school budget and finance communications project called Highways to the Finance Zone. We hope this work will drive greater awareness and understanding of Texas school finance and our local budget.

Our goal with the Finance Zone is to improve community engagement, fuel meaningful conversations, and build your confidence in our budgeting process within Alvarado ISD. The project uses colorful graphics, simple messages, automobiles, road signs, and travel analogies to steer the public toward important messages about the challenges we face with rising inflation and changes to our existing school funding formulas.

This transparency and financial accountability project will include a dedicated website, slide presentation, handouts, newsletter messages, videos, social media messages/graphics, and other assets. Later this fall, we will be rolling out more information about this project.

In the meantime, please visit our new website at financezone.alvaradoisd.net. For your convenience, we also set up a dedicated email address where you can submit budget questions or share input. Simply email financezone@alvaradoisd.net and a member of our team will respond.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about the Finance Zone in Alvarado ISD. We are looking forward to another wonderful school year with all our scholars.
