On Monday, the Board of Trustees approved Derek Gammon as the new principal of Alvarado Elementary North.
Mr. Gammon joins us from Mansfield ISD, where he has served as an elementary principal for the past five years. He brings 18 years of experience in education, beginning his career as a classroom teacher in Duncanville ISD and Mansfield ISD before serving as an Assistant Principal in Mansfield for 2 years before becoming Principal. His leadership experience, passion for scholars, and commitment to excellence made him a standout candidate among several outstanding applicants.
