Dr. Kenneth Estes graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas with his Bachelor’s Degree in 1993, Master’s Degree in 1999, and an Educational Doctorate in 2009.
Dr. Estes taught and coached for one year at Grand Saline ISD and he has been a part of the Alvarado ISD team since the fall of 1994. Dr. Estes has taught, coached and served as High School Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services and now servers as Superintendent of Schools.
He was President of the Alvarado Lion's Club in 2015-2016, a former board member for the Alvarado Chamber of Commerce, on the board of directors of Alvarado Santa’s Helpers as well as a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Alvarado.
He has two children. Ashlee, who is a 2016 graduate of Tarleton State University and 2013 honor graduate of Alvarado High School, is now an elementary school teacher in Stephenville, Texas. His son, Aaron, is a junior at Tarleton State University. He is a member of the TSU Presidential Honors Program and plays club Lacrosse for the Tarleton Texans.
Dr. Estes has been married to Dr. Laura Estes for 23 years. Dr. Laura Estes is an assistant professor and TMATE Director (Tarleton’s accelerated teacher education program). Laura served as a teacher, principal and director in Alvarado for 19 years prior to taking the position with TSU.
