Dr. Kenneth Estes graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993, Master of Education Degree in 1999, and an Educational Doctorate in 2009.

Dr. Estes taught and coached for one year at Grand Saline ISD. He has been a part of the Alvarado ISD team since the fall of 1994. Dr. Estes has served as a teacher, coach, High School Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services and now Superintendent of Schools.

Dr. Kenneth Estes is Alvarado ISD Superintendent.

He currently serves on the Alvarado Santa’s Helpers Board of Directors and is a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Alvarado. He was President of the Alvarado Lion's Club in 2015-2016 and a former board member for the Alvarado Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Johnson County Economic Development Commission.

He has two children. Ashlee, a 2016 graduate of Tarleton State University and 2013 honor graduate of Alvarado High School, is joining our AISD team to teach kindergarten students at Lillian Elementary. His son, Aaron, is a 2018 graduate from the Tarleton State University Presidential Honors Program and recently married Caitlin Russell from Van, Texas. He will join our AISD team this year teaching students Geometry and Math Models as well as coaching football and soccer.

Dr. Estes has been married to Dr. Laura Estes for 25 years. Dr. Laura Estes is an assistant professor and TMATE Director (Tarleton’s accelerated teacher education program). Laura served as a teacher, principal and director in Alvarado for 19 years prior to taking the position with TSU.
