Alvarado ISD Learning Options 2020-2021

Alvarado ISD has finalized delivery options for instruction for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents will have the choice between face-to-face instruction and virtual instruction.
We are still finalizing plans for how each instruction model will look and those details will be released at a later date. Please see the attached flyer for information that will help you decide which model is best for your student.

After reviewing, please fill out the attached survey so we can begin preparations on how many students will be receiving face-to-face and virtual instruction.
Face-to-Face Learning: Face-to-Face instruction with an Alvarado ISD teacher. Masks or face shields will be required for all students. Face shields will be provided for all elementary students. School supplies will be provided by Alvarado ISD. Social distancing will be practiced when possible. 90% attendance policy will be enforced. Bus transportation will be provided, but parents are encouraged to transport students to reduce overcrowding. Mask and face shield requirements will be enforced on buses.
Online Learning: Students must login and complete work each day - 90% attendance policy will be enforced. Instruction and support will be provided by an Alvarado ISD teacher. Alvarado ISD grading policies will apply. Students who choose online learning will be able to participate in extra-curricular or co-curricular activities. Change to face-to-face instruction may only be made at the end of a grading period.
