Learning how to use new technology, and sometimes even current technology, can be a daunting task for some. In order to educate those in the Alvarado community who struggle with technology, Alvarado ISD recently announced it is offering classes to help bridge the gap through its newly developed ACE (Alvarado Community Education) program.
Classes include everything from smartphone features to google workspace and online safety.
“This is something we have been working on providing for the community for quite some time,” said Julie Holland, AISD Chief Technology Officer. “This is just the beginning. We hope to expand our class offerings beyond technology and at some point we look forward to having some of our scholars lead these classes.”
Upcoming classes are What Device is Best for Me on Monday, Oct. 17, Google Workspace on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and Online Safety on Tuesday Nov. 1.
