Parent Information
According to Alvarado ISD's Special Education Operational Guidelines:
2(a). Every parent is assured the right to fully participate in the development of his student's IEP.
Every parent is required the opportunity to provide his/her input during the ARD decision-making process to ensure each student is provided a free and appropriate public school education in the least restrictive environment.
2(b). Each parent is invited to participate in his student campus staffing. Parent will be afforded every opportunity to discuss instructional and behavioral options/recommendations to support student learning. Staffing minutes will be documented in the student's IEP folder.
Satisfaction of parent participation in student ARD's and campus staffings will documented through a parent survey.
