Several members of the Alvarado High School band earned All-Region Jazz Band honors last week as AHS accounted for seven of the 19 spots in the band.

“I’m super proud of these students,” band director Patrick Dietz said. “Their work ethic and talent help them rise to the top.”

Those earning a spot on the band were Seth Brown (alto saxophone), Evan Murr (trombone), Jarett Watson (trombone), Wade Alford (bass trombone), Cole Garner (trumpet), Josiah Ponce (drums) and Dylan Scott (drums).

The AHS band also had the most moving on to the Area auditions as Brown, Murr, Alford, Ponce and Scott all qualified for Area.
